Yes, it is down completely now. The hard drive in the server that BlitzWiki runs on died, and I'm working on getting all of the sites it hosted back up. There are about thirty sites on that server. Luckily I was able to back everything up, but it's still going to require a lot of work to get it back to normal.
The good news is that I'll have to install a new version of MediaWiki to get the site running again, and the newer versions have better support for spam blocking. It should hopefully prevent that problem.
Believe it or not, there are still (even with the wiki down), thousands of requests per day that try to post spam to the wiki. They haven't been able to actually write to the wiki for months, but they keep trying. They've even figured out the Alert form that I set up on the preview page, and I get spam through that too. It's still definitely a problem.
I'm still working on the new wiki, although I don't have an estimated date when it will be ready. I've got a lot of other work to do too. At some point I'll be adding some more information and some screenshots to the preview page, and I plan to do a closed beta test program when it's near to release time.
