Gfk: Everybody wants mark to work, but doesn't want to pay him for doing it.

Well, since it would be impossible for me to be everybody since I am not the Almighty, then I guess you are just wrong. :/

I for one want Mark to work, and for what I've already paid for. That's what he is doing now with BlitzMax, and I for one am glad.

We've all seen developers who like to hook in a userbase, then nickel and dime them to death over features.

I imagine some people wouldn't mind paying $80.00 for BlitzMax+Max2D, then another $30.00 for MaxGUI, then another $60.00-$70.00 for Max3D, then another $30.00 for MaxThreading, then another $30.00 for MaxDB, and so on and so forth, but that's not me. I paid for Blitz*MAX*, not Blitz*MOSTLY*.

Flameduck has already mentioned some features he would like to see in a 2D games-creation language, and so have others. Most parts of BlitzMax are well done, others need improvement, and there are more things left to add. Mentioning Max2 makes me nervous because I don't want the product that I've already paid for to be left out to rot, then have to roll out another $80.00 for features that I thought I was paying for in the first place. (Yes, I've been here for awhile, and I do remember the hype, and why Blitz and MAX are spoken in the same breath.)

And as far as deleting people who start speculative posts, then I would say that I'm glad that folks advocating such a thing aren't moderators, because I come here to get support for a language I develop with/for, not to play clickety click with the flavor of the day posting on these forums. [Edit: Chatting is a perk. I'd hate to have your prejuidices determinging whether or not I could ask for help.]
