From many Artists that I've contacted, the average price range is $20-$40 (sometimes more) per hour. Luckily I can do the art myself.
Great articles Grey, and that last post is really true. The one man band barely cuts it unless you have a secondary means of income to tie you over for 6 months to a year dev time.
