Well, first I just want to make sure it gets back to them safely. Personally, I think they are actually going to inspect this sytem when it arrives back. I reckon, they are slightly suspicions on the basis that they say they have checked it at their end with a duplicate PSU and mobo.
I have said to them as soon as this comes back they will see what I am referring to.
I am going to wait until it has gone back - let them take a look and then see what happens. They might email and say they see what I am referring to and then want to offer goodwill.
I don't want to kick up too much of a stink.
I was half-tempted to go for the repair, but then I started to ponder:
1 - Time to go back and for them to repair/replace bits;
2 - I wanted a new mobo as I deemed the one I had would have had a lot of strain on that ATX12V connector and could fail in the future - for me it had to be a new mobo too;
3 - I'd expect them to put it back through the 72 hour (3 day) testing;
4 - Despatch back to me.
I could be looking at another week.
I thought about the replacement route and then decided to cut and run.
The point is, this is the 5th PC I have bought and the first one to have problems from start to finish. Baring in mind people were telling me to cancel the order before It finally arrived, I could have saved myself a lot of grief and hassle.
