My new DX10 system has ARRIVED!!!

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/My new DX10 system has ARRIVED!!!

Woo, woo.

I think I may have spotted something:

I noticed a tiny (thin) little cable running from the back plate of the pc that was touching the heatpipe system around the CPU. It was a funny looking cable that came from the back plate. It had a tiny little 2 pin plug of the end of it - and I mean tiny.

I took a look in the mobo manual and can see only 1 connector anywhere near it that has the same connector.

It is called a P_ELJ1.

In the manual there is a section called EL I/O installation which shows the backplate with this lead thing and the connector on the motherboard - it shows that the thing definetley should be connected.

However, I don't think this will solve the problem - this thing appears to be the connector to make the lettering on the back plate illuminate blue.

I am not going to connect it myself as it is really small and fiddly, but this does go to show that they have not connected every single cable inside the PC. This has not fallen out because of the position I found it hanging in - it was never connected in the first place.
