do these new board have a seperate power connector for the CPU as the older P4 boards do? Maybe it's something that simple, you never know, something came loose in transit perhaps?
First time I built my P4 I didn't even know this CPU power plug existed - there followed about an hour of worrying, cursing and swearing, followed by extreme relief once I'd realised my stupid mistake :)
