Really? I think the original XBOX was the best console. Not only could you get it running homebrew for free (softmodding), with XBMC it was basically your whole home entertainment system. Play DVD's, copy games to HDD, emulators, and everything you could think of really.
I know that wasn't its intentional use, but it ended up being its main use.
