yeah, I guess I wanted a contrast from the house to the game, it couldn't all be dark insides. And outside really all you can do is snowy stuff unless you start adding people and other stuff, but then the pictures become too busy and stop working as backgrounds for the game as they distract and make the game grid unclear (been there, done that, ditched it). We had a another jolly tune but I felt it didn't fit with the pictures so I directed the musician to make more "scenery" type music, which he did. It's interesting you should bring it up though as naturally I'd thought all that stuff to but had to make a decision one way at the end of the day.
Hopefully you are right and the customers will still groove to it anyway. The main focus is the game to be honest and that is pretty smooth and addictive, esp the bonus items and the double power bonus gauge, the other graphicsare the external trappings that set the mood and have to be there to get on the portals and to get the customers to download it based on the screenshots. Shame but that's the way things are these days.
