Are all styles revamped graphically, or did they just recycle all the stuff from the previous games?
Mostly recycled, but you can tell the graphics are of higher quality than before, particulaly for the TrackMania Original areas. Whether that's down to the improved engine or improved textures/models, I'm not sure.
I'm surprised Microsoft would even allow that.....
Well they've obviously co-operated together to produce something that MS considers NOT malware. But going by the amount of crap Defender lets go by it still could be pretty bad ;]
Least they did keep the old tunes, loved the Island track tunes.
No, as I meant to say they DIDN'T keep the old tunes - every area only has one (completely new) tune, except for Stadium, which has three. Copying the tunes over from previous TrackManias is a good remedy.
I got some craaaaaaaaaaaazy Island maps saved that I wouldn't mind giving another whirl on when I go look for this in store.
I'm not sure at all yet. I'm about to look into stuff like that (I've been distracted setting up an ingame shop to pimp my music to get some more coppers:)... I've seen other people selling tracks that they originally made for Nations - I'm not sure if it works out of the box, or if they've used a 3rd party editor program.
sad to hear about the copper thing, forcing map creators to play to create said insane tracks, when said creators normally just use a little cheat to unlock full coppers
Hmm, there is either a difference between online and offline coppers - or creating maps doesn't cost any coppers anymore. I'm not sure which yet. Most easy-normal difficulty maps are rated at around 700+ coppers (all standard tracks are only 10 coppers to download, however), which would absolutely kill the map making scene if that were the case (daily income is 50). But it does cost (10) coppers to upload your track to Nadeo's database so other people can play it.
