Before downloading Trackmania (even the 'demo') ensure that you are happy to have Starforce protection installed.
Last time I tried the demo I got Starforce installed without my consent/knowledge. It was a real pain to remove too. The thing even has 'Ring 0' priviledges. Not good.
I must say I really enjoyed the game though. Great fun.
