I'm still trying to get the hang of OOP, but so far so good. I must say that the tutorials helped me a lot in creating something to start with.
At first when looking at the code on some small OOP applications it seemed clear to me, but after trying to start from scratch to see if I can use objects in a new project I was confused about how the variables worked and it took me a long time before the application would start without giving me some kind of error message...
But after a while I finally got the hang of it and I must say that it saves a lot of time creating a game with lots of the same type of units when used correctly. Just enter the rules on what that unit needs to do when created... :-)
The only thing I am still trying to find out is how I can speed up the game I'm creating. I know it has something to do with checking all possible collisions... But I will first read some more tutorials on that first before asking any stupid questions. :-P
