I did some data recovery this weekend on a Maxtor Diamondmax 8. Funny, the drive died from overheating and smashed the hell out of its head. Unrecoverable.
Even more funny: This is the model of drive that died on me not so long ago- couple of months I recon. For me it constantly overheated and then one day, the cache died.
