I'm a bit stuck here, why would one want more than one video to watch at a time? I don't get it.
My guess is so that while watching one video, the other one will be buffering up a good chunk of the file, ready for viewing when the current video is finished with.As with regards to multiple videos and slow-down, runs fine here, just checked with 2 YouTube videos playing at the same time in different tabs...
