Oh and about the HD space, it takes about 200 megs per minute of video. So yeah, it'd be around 12 gigs for a 60 minute cassette. I don't plan on transferring lots of video to the PC permanently.
The roughly two minutes of video you see there, in high def was 400 megs.
Oh and in case anyone wants it, I've uploaded the 60 meg 640x360 video to my website. It's about a quarter of the res of the original video, but much better than the google one which I think they scaled down to like 320x200 and compressed a ton.
