I have occasionally had files that did not want to delete, and my tool for the job is a little tool called "pocket killbox" Sorry I don't have a link, but it should come up in a basic search. I've never had it fail to delete something, so it gets a thumbs up here. Also works great for when you have to clear nasty malware files off the in-laws computer
