I prefer the original IDE. :-)
And I know you don't have to install it for each app, but my artist couldn't figure out what this .net thing was that he had to install to get the app to run or where to get it, and I'm sure he's pretty good with computers otherwise. Given that it's obvious a novice computer user would also be at a total loss and your app would just go unused. Hence, BAD IDEA to write apps that use .NET if those apps aren't targetted at programmers, unless you want to include that installer with all your apps.
