ahhh... that may it it, Sam is probably right... sorry,
i'll try to get enough read today to put up an executable... that's at the end of the manual, and i've only just gotten past the first couple chapters, breezing through those at that...
basically, it's just a lil bit of code that validates the scenegraph that i read about, and exposes a few simple and straight forward script commands and conceptual things... it uses the provided models to
get a simple scene up and running...
i did all this in about 20 minutes, after the install... that's pretty decent considering that there's a few things that went effortlessly into the scene, that usually gives gamemakers a lot of headaches... for example, the alpha in the oversized grass...
i'll take down the zip now and put up a quick video of what the scene looks like (coming in a minute)...
the short (500k) vid--> http://home.att.net/~mikey102/Panda3d.wmv
thx RocketG for the info... i thnk that the Panda package has provided everything i need, i just don't know how to do it yet... but i will also google py2exe... a lil additional knowledge is a good thing...
about the scene... there's no shadows in there yet, and it's a pretty simple deal... consider what other engines have you doing in your first few minutes of using them... HULLO WOYLD...
this thing really has been pretty easy so far... over the weekend i've gotta learn python scripting... the concept and the syntax... and take some time to read the manual for Panda...
