In order for any of my passwords to get stored on my PC, don't I have to check the 'remember my password' box that comes up?
Pretty sure that's just for completing forms. You type in a username, and IE remembers the password that goes with it.Otherwise, passwords and stuff can still get stored in cookies (which you can also disable, although little will work properly if you do). Your password for this very site is stored in a cookie on your PC right now. It isn't encrypted either. Which always seemed slightly dangerous, to me. But, what can you do, eh? :/
