Yeah, stop making games that require 50% of your processor to render that dumb effect which does nothing to the gameplay.
Or just play console games like sensible people. At least you know that game you bought 2,3 or even 5 to 6 years ago will still work fine later after you've installed a ton of shit on it and 'upgraded' the OS. :)
