Gamecube was great for Pikmin (and still has the best controller of them all - hah!) but that was it more or less. The problem with Nintendo in my opinion is this whole Mario/Wario blablabla content. I don't want it...
I wanna play serious, entertaining or funny (Ron Gilbert where are you?!) games for adults or emulated retro games. I'm not interested in games where i have to get back a yellow slipper from a frog princess with baby eyes who got cought by turtle ninjas, no matter how i steer this...
I'm looking forward to Wii too.
Problem is, non-cartoony graphics on their hardware is going to make the differences in capability to their competition a bit more apparent.
Hopefully the focus on solid game play will prevail, and the above quoted attitude is limited. I imagine the only way Nintendo can get away with it is to focus on the new controller's capabilities, which seems to be the case.
