The industry is no stronger than the diversitity of the companies it is composed of. What good is it going to do you if the only company left to buy games off is EA Sports and Microsoft?
Well, I can't see that ever happening, TBH. And what about Nintendo? I can't see them going anywhere anytime soon - thank God. At least they (alone) seem determined to experiment with new ideas (hardware and software) to keep the industry alive, and make lots of money in the process. Maybe without Nintendo, the industry would disappear up it's own backside - I dunno. True. Major difference here is that on the videogames industry in general, and console market segment in particular - they only go.
That's a neat trick: companies that go without first coming into existence! :P Seriously though, are you saying that ALL companies will eventually disappear and thus the games industry with them? I mean, seriously?
