Nonsense. Many of us here rely on those laws to make our living.
How? How do copyright laws effect you or your income personally?

I don't consider it to be unfair.
You don't think it's unfair that if I wanted to play wetris in 80 years or so, I would be a criminal, because my cartridge has degraded, and my N64 only barely works now, never mind 80 years from now. Maybe it's time to revisit our old Wetris on abandonware sites debate again?

Just because Disney lack the imagination to come up with new original characters and stories (it's only plagiarism if you get caught and convicted, right), I'm not allowed to play games that I've purchased, because the media they're stored on do not out-last copyright?

Originally, Copyright lasted 7 years, and where it not for laws twisted way beyond their original meaning and intent, Mario64 would have entered the public domain by now (being 10 years old).
