As i've read/heard the story i can't see a resaon why. It seems a little bit too obvious what some italians are trying to achive.
a) The player who was allegedly hit said he wasn't hit.
b) Frings said he defended himself.
c) The only paper which could come up with a picture which doesn't show what's exactly happening was an italian one.
Well, as with all things were you're not personally involved you never know but this smells a little bit too much in my opinion...
I find it kind of lame of the FIFA that they need this long for investigating this.
But the best thing is that Gennaro Gattuso is favoring this. You know who he is, how he plays/fouls, how many cards this fair playing fellow got this and last season?! :O)
