[gasp] I just remembered one of my all time favorites was "Crash Bandicoot!" [/gasp]
How could I forget about THAT game? That, to me, was the precursor to true 3D platform gaming. I mean, that came out around the same time as Super Mario 64, if I'm not mistaken...
Also, even tho Descent was a flight game, would it be somewhat considered a platform game as well? I never knew how to classify the Interplay classic...
