This is like a Columbos first trip to America.
The crew gets creazy after months on the sea and no land in sight and they almost talk Columbus into turning back.
But Columbus is persistant he knows that they will find land, so they go forward but creaw is getting more and more desparate and Columbus needs to talk to them from time to time to calm them down.
After all he is their Captain and he needs to keep his men motivated because he has vision(s) that they don't see. All they can see is money, wisky and woman and on this ship that they are all toghether on this big promissing trip there are all kind of creazy men.
Some talk behind captains back, some defend the captain and some say nothing at all. But they are all on the same ship sharing the same fate, risking their fortunes and putting their faith in the captain to steer the ship in just the rigth direction.
Some of men like to disscuss about the trip and are too inpatient while other don't want any discussions at all not to speak about questioning captain's motives and why there is still no land in sight after months on the open see. There is no looking back now, it's too late to turn and too late to regret, all on ship have to stay on the ship if they want to survive.
As long as Captain chooses not to speak and stays in his cabin men are gonna talk and disscus and question and do it every once in a while. There is really nothing except land in sight to stop all this.
That's why Columbus needs to speak to his men and say few words to strengthen their faith.
