Apologies. Was just trying to offer an alternative that worked for me.
And I appreciate that - let's not end up like Red and H&K!
No need for the CAPS, underlining, italics...
You see, this is the nefarious nature of the net. We were probably normal once, but now we've gotten to the point where we're offended by italics. My view is that forums are such a horrifically poor method of communication ("Is that person actually berating me for wanting a disc?" etc) that we need all the caps, underlining and italicisation we can get. ;)
I agree that the sdk should be bundled with express. It's probably too large to fit on the cd though.
That's probably true. I had a look at a few DVD covermounts too and, remembering the good old days when magazines were stuffed with listings and tutorials 'n' whatnot, found it kinda sad that it wasn't just there.
But I'm OT now, so better make a point.
Time to move on indeed, cretins.
Thing is, for some people a language that is so open that licensing built-in FMOD functionality is no longer an option for BRL isn't much of a step forward. People have differing ideas about what constitutes "moving on", inevitably leading to discussion over whether BRL actually has done so or not. This is only compounded by the nearest thing we have to a universally accepted indicator of having "moved on" (that being, of course, modern DX9 3D rendering) not having arrived yet.
There's no point ranting about an inevitable discussion - which is what a bunch of programmers talking about the merits of a product made by a company they buy things from is.
