@Red, Can I ask you a favour. If the thread doesnt need pictures in it. (ie the first post isnt "Look at my Graphics", could we just link to images rather than post them?
(Its just that im only on 56k, and its downthroteled at that)
Apart from the Lack of pre-running Lists of Objects/Variables created, BMax doesnt seem to be any more difficult than B3D - If you dont want it to be.
And the list thing can be sorted out (ie you can learn how to do it yourself if you wanted) really quickly (2hrs), theres a tut somewhere about, and enough discussion of it.
I agree with the sentiments expressing dismay at the increase in development time useing BMax, but I sudjest that its simple because wereas before we would only program funtionallity that we needed, we now program funtionality for every possible use of the "Object" we can think off
I like BMax. And at the moment Im in that "Its the game logic that make the game, not the graphics", so whilst Max3d not being here is a pain. I knew that they're wasnt going to be a Max3d for at least 9 mths. And so am not writting a product that needs one.
What I think is wrong tho is that BMAX needs a 3dHAL (ie a 3d card) to use Max2d. I Appreaciate that most everything has a 3dcard now, and that most of the card development has gone reasently into 3d. But producing a product that needs 3d, yet has no 3d commands seems odd. (It does work under a 3dHEL like, but is a mite slower)
