XP is WAY WAY better than win2k.
Just because you say it, doesn't make it true. My Intellistation runs much better on 2K. My mates ABook Laptop also runs better on 2K (and even Ubuntu Linux) than it does on XP, where in the space of 45 minutes, 3 BSOD errors are not uncommon. Let's see what Microsoft have to say. Oh.
