The same applies to Unigine in its current state, unfortunately
Unigine will 1.4 will be released (should be released) within the month... at least 6 months prior to TSE 1.0...

i understand your reasons for preferring Cipher, i've never warmed up to it though... looks like dated technology to me...

i might be willing to put up with TGEs dated appearance because of it's stellar networking implementation which is integrated into the engine, but if we do a one for one face off between TGE and Cipher... TGE beats out Cipher in my book, hands down (they both can be licensed for about the same price)...

Unigine looks very promising when compared to both... except it's in another price league (up there with AmpII and UnityPro)...

as far as coding ease... well, you judge...

#include "Unigine.h"
#include "Car.h"

using namespace Unigine;

/*
*/
Car *car = NULL;

/*
*/
void car_create() {
    if(car) {
        delete car;
        car = NULL;
    }
    car = new Car();
}

/*
*/
void car_update() {
    if(car) car->update();
}

/*
*/
void car_delete() {
    if(car) {
        delete car;
        car = NULL;
    }
}

/*
*/
int main(int argc,char **argv) {

    Engine *engine = Engine::Create(argc,argv);

    engine->addExternFunction("car_create",car_create);
    engine->addExternFunction("car_update",car_update);
    engine->addExternFunction("car_delete",car_delete);

    engine->run();

    delete engine;

    return 0;
}

it can't get much easier and straight forward than that.... now can it...
