Its a stupid debate.
The last time I bought a windows os was a floppy disk version of 95. Since then every computer I get has a different windows with it. For free. (ie I have two 98s a 2000 spanish, two xp homes and an xp profesinal). And only one of these computers had an option to buy it without windows, and they were out of stock of that version.
So if I buy a computer next year it will have vista. I wont have the option to choose it or not.
Ok if I go on the upgrade rounderbout then MayBe I will need to change/buy a new OS. But quite frankly I will know someone by then who has a copy, and will just "Borrow" theirs
(And yes I downgraded at home the 2000 one to a second edition 98)
