Erm not that I want to play the ass ... but you all are aware that Intel GMA 950 is a Vista card as well and that piece of **** is within any craptastic dell and other "system" producers lineup with CoreDuo ...
So its not like there won't be any cheap ones ... its more like the current graphic cards focus around a technology that never should have come to life (split shaders into vertex and pixel units) ...
And the not XP compatibility: Sorry, I already have support to stone age DX ... and the result is a worse one as drivers are written for DX 9, they run worse at DX8 and tend to break on DX7 as whole.
With DX10, only DX10 runs directly, the rest is run through DX10 calls which ensures that my drivers work ... and thats not possible with any windows before vista as they internally need DX8 to be installed which DX10 does not like that much!
