Majority of the EDs I looked at from 3 different stores all came around the $700-1k price-range, only problem was that all 3 stores also didn't seem to want to have a clean video-connection on all their displays making some look much worse then they should be.
(nothing like fuzziness/static on your display from a DVD movie)
Will think about it as a future purchase, as my current-gen systems *do* have the support for Progressive scan, but it's all up to the developer (/sigh) to implement the functionality into their games. But I guess the picture display would be better on plain' old low-rez regardless though.
You know, speakin of audio, wish the same would occur for that department, Dolby Digital Encoders aint cheap, and my PS2/GameCube dont have a direct feed for a single input for all 5 speakers...
(had to use this little splitter attachment which allowed me to hook-it-up composite cable style, red & white cable)
