I don't think the HDTV question has been answered... And I'm not going to help it with my answer I don't think... But analog tv is on the way out. Period. Digital TV (in the states) has been mandated by 2009 if I remember right. And more and more shows are being shot in HD and shown in letterbox format (viewable full screen on a 16:9 tv). The writing is on the wall and it's certainly not microsoft's fault for catering to those with HD sets. Most if not all games for the 360 will play just fine on a standard 480i/p television, but you get extra added quality with a good 720p/1080i/p system. If you don't have an HDTV, get one if you can. If you can't, stick with a PS2/XBox. Simple as that.
