Compete on what, and better at doing what?

I agree with Evak, the strength of Torque is in Marketing and Industry contacts. Jeremys point about Orbz being a PC Magazine 'Game of the Year' actually serves to drive Evaks point home, rather than counter it.

Look at the other games:
* Halo is boring and repetitive, the first hour and the last hour being by far the best the game has to offer.
* Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 isn't even a game, it's a program for training would-be airplane hijackers.
* Savage? Never even heard of it.
* Generic Madden NFL licensed game of the unspecified time period. Isn't that the one with the 10 inch linemen?
* And don't even get me started on Second Life. It's kinda like Flight Simulator 2004, except you have to write the Flight Simulator part yourself.

Wasn't 2003 the year Sands of Time and Knights of the Old Republic came out? Aren't they still some of the best games ever, never mind for just 2003? Surely they would be on that list!
