Was fed up with the limitations it had what with it being a point&click style game-creator, and decided to try out some of the links the author had on his site to other programs you could use to create games with, first tried to find a demo of DarkBasic on the official site, but fed-up trying to navigate to one, tried next link on list, BlitzBasic.
Downloaded it, tried it out, and not ever having programmed anything before in the past, was wondering how the bloody hell I work this thing....
I think it took me around 5 months of playing with the BB2d demo to get the grasps with the beginner programming stuff like For-Next loops, proper use of Functions, Types, etc, then went and purchased B3d since I wanted access to 3d just incase I ever wanted to move forward.
(which I did eventually, and was befuddled at how damn easy Mark made it to program simple 3d stuff in it)
