some of you are complaining that the 3D AeroGlass GUI will hurt your games performance. But what you don't realize is that MS is actually trying to market Vista as a 'gaming' OS. Especially with the new dx10 coming with it. Some pretty amazing stuff from what I've read. Also I read some editorial on Vista performance in gaming and they mentioned that for games on Vista they will performance 30% better if not more due to optimizations in the OS. And by optimizations they said that Vista will detect dx games and actually turn off unneccesary parts of the OS, freeing up resources (which i think includes AeroGlass GUI). This was not possible in XP, where resources stuck around uselessly churning while you were running a game in full screen.
