cmon E... most of the apps that everyone uses, including games by the way, are making calls on parts of the underlying OS... without the dlls that make up windows and dx , most of the applications and games you see today would've never come into existance...
a lot of people like to delude themselves into thinking that when they type in a line of code, even the simplest code, PRINT "HELLO WORLD"... that they are actually making their computers do something all by themselves... the fact is that you are simply passing a few params to an underlying code library that is doing most of the actual work for you...
the name of this used to be DOS... and the Windows on top of DOS... but now it is WINDOWS...
let us all herald it's coming... let us stand in awe of its magnificence and its benificence...
rejoooiice... rejoice... for no longer do we need to address the binary of the cpu and the videoprocessor...
let us give thanks...
let us bow down before the omnipotent Bill... sing his praises... let us worship him as one... let us admit in chant that we are not worthy, we are not worthy...
lemme hear it!!!
we are not worthy...
we are not worthy...
we are not worthy...
we are not worthy...
there... don't you feel better now... no go forth and make windows based products... consume windows based products...
you are a true believer... of the masses, for the masses... made in the image of man...
buy...
buy more...
buy more now...
... and be happy.
