People tell me why they like it, but not what makes creating it hard.
Hmm... I don't really care if creating it is hard or not. My appreciation doesn't come down to an evaluation of the work that went into it, I just like it for what it is and that's enough for me.
Trance seems to become popular by just being at the right place at the right time and with the right people looking at it....
I confounds me greatly.
I confounds me greatly.
But isn't that the case with all music? I have friends who like jungle, rap, and heavy metal. Now, that's stuff that I don't get, so I can appreciate your confoundment of why I like trance by pretending that I said that I like that stuff <g>. They explain how they like the beats, lyrics, and general mood created, and while that at least lets me understand their reasons abstractly, it doesn't let me share in them (respect <> enjoyment for me). So, I just accept that there is something there for those who like it and go on listening to what I enjoy. "De gustibus [or music] non est disputandum" I suppose.
