I've tested your timing2.zip version and it run smooth in these setups

GeForce 7600GT Athlon 64 X2 3800+ LCD Monitor
GeForce 7800GS Athlon 64 3000+ CRT
Radeon 9800Pro Intel 1.7 CRT
GeForce 5700 Intel 1.7 LCD

for both DX and OpenGL
