Seagate rolls out a 3/4 TB HDD(750 GB)!!

Never had a drive fail me yet.

I've got my RAID drives in 5.25" noiseless cooling frames plus there's a number of other fans to help with keeping the case cooler. It doesn't need to be loud either. An auto fan controller (Hardcano 13) and big fans running at low rpm takes care of that. It's also in a Lian-Li full height aluminium tower which acts like a big heatsink too. This is also a filtered unit which stops the excessive dust problem caused through ventilation. I think a lot of problems can be caused by having a system in a mid tower case which is already running warm and then throwing in a bunch of hard drives right next to each other. Couple this with a year or two dust buildup and you're asking for trouble.

Sure, it costs a few bucks, but so does a few harddrives. Also, most of this cooling stuff (Fans, hardcano, tower, hd frames) can be taken to the next system I build.

All IMHO of course.
