depends where you post. If in the programming parts, you do learn stuff for sure, and help others which helps to reinforce your knowledge and sometimes you see things from another angle. In the general forum, it's fun and you meet people you can work with and you learn other stuff too, so I think it's worthwhile. More worthwhile than loads of crap on the Internet.
