Hi Indiepath (and also for Grey),
I tried this code of yours and I still get a fair amount of Vsync re-drawing issues. If I continually hold down Z or X, as the screen redraws there are black lines going down the side of the white square causing a kind of motion blur effect (for the lack of a better term!!!).
The update is also very very jerky and lots of flickering at both vertical sides of the square. So, there was no smoothness to the screen update at all.
This happens when the fix value is set to 0 or 1.
Now, I am not sure if I am getting these effects because of the relative simplicity of the examples or because of the problems with my GFX card.
As a further set of separate tests I took indie's example and specifically set the graphics drivers at the start of the code
ie.
SetGraphicsDriver GLMax2DDriver()
SetGraphicsDriver D3D7Max2DDriver ()
Both test gave exactly the same results as I mentioned at the start of this post. So, could this be more to do with a general BlitzMax - nVidia drivers issue?
I mentioned my PC specs in Grey's game framework thread in the showcase forum, but I am running a nVidia 6600 which has 256 meg RAM.
