Lastly check that your PSU is powerful enough, and still supply the correct voltsges.p
I had bad hard drive clicking problems and resets/lockups a while ago and a new (better) PSU sorted it. The HD was actually losing power whilst trying to read/write ... ouch. HD troubles, but thumping it helps >: )
