Why do real customers want it (StarForce) gone? Apart from the few (and it is a few, despite what's being said) who have experienced incompatability with their optical drive, there hasn't been a single verified case of it breaking someone's gear.
Sure, everyone knows someone whose mate's CDROM drive stopped working. Nothing but apocryphal stories.
The whole thing of 'it broke my computer' has been overly exaggerated into the status of urban myth. Something which I'm sure the pirate community hasn't been fast to dispell.
Pirates do want rid of StarForce because they don't like it. Much as they don't like Microsoft, only worse because finally here's a target they can really get their teeth into.
