All five of ours were adopted, the youngest being 3 1/2 when we adopted her. We got her started on the computer and edutainment software right away.
With edutainment software being designed for kids as young as eighteen months old, there really is no such thing as too young, it is more a matter of buying your kid software designed for their age group. I prefer to get them educational software so they can learn and play at the same time ;c)
