Diff between Licenses?

There're some licensing schemes around, I know the Commercial and Public Domain ones, but others are not easier to clarify, even I googled it...

Do anyone have simpler explanation about this?

GPL (seems somehow restrictive..)
LGPL (really don't know what "lesser" means)
GLPL (I think it's library related)
MIT (don't acctually know this but)
MPL (which Mozilla belones...)
Zlib/PNG (don't understand either..)

I don't understand them, those words in quote is only a "guess"...
