Hi guys,
I'm having problems loading web pages. I'm using firefox but it seems to be happening in IE too.
Here's my problem. When I type an address into the browser (or use a link) the page goes blank and it thinks about it. This process usually takes something from 5-25 seconds depending on the site. The toolbar displays "connecting to..." and "waiting for..."
Then it proceeds to show the page and loads the images and everything else super quick.
I get 23s on www.altavista.com + content 1s
I get 5s on www.google.com + content 1s
It's slightly faster to load when it's been cached but it's starting to become annoyingly slow when I go to new sites. Has anyone got any experience of this? And if so, did they find out how to solve it? Did it involve some router settings?
I can download files absolutely fine. Uploading is no problem either. Just so everyone knows, I'm not uploading/downloading anything at the time and I'm on a 2 meg down and 1/4 up connection.
Can anyone help? I hope this isn't normal behaviour.
Matt
