I hear you IPete2, I'm definitely thinking with HD in mind :)
I use FCP HD at work and I really love it, and ultimately I would prefer to get a mac and use it. But: I also love my PC and the games and programming options it gives me, and since I'm not flush enough with either money or desk space, I have to have one system. So I'm looking at Premiere Pro too.
JFK, again very informative. I believe Premiere Pro 2.0 and After Effects 7.0 work internally with 32-bit colour.
As for DVCam, it's only this project I have shot using it - after this everything I do I will look to use HD (or at least HDV). But all this information is so useful. Thanks again everyone and keep it coming :)
