I remember thinking the exact same thing when I saw GMan writing his wrappers for 3Impact and Irrlicht. Then when you start doing it yourself, you feel like it would be wrong to make money from someone else's work. It's true that it's been a lot of work for me already and there's a lot more work to come, but asking people to pay me as well as pay for the engine just seems wrong.
