There is no way that a PC user should in any way be restricted in what it is they wish to do with their computer. It's a computer, it is there to serve the user, end of flippin' story!
I do not want my PC to come up with a message stating "We regret that your mp3 cannot be transferred to your ipod because it lacks authentication" - or some such rot [if I had an ipod].
